Summary

Simon was the sole survivor from his 5th grade class in a school tragedy. He was famous in his hometown because of it. His family moved to a town completely off the grid, no internet, no tv, nothing, to get away from the publicity and prying eyes. All Simon wanted was to be himself, not the kid from the tragedy. He meets some unlikely friends, including a furry pup, has the adventure of a lifetime, and comes out of his shell.

Review

★★★★

This was a very heart-warming story that I enjoyed all the way through. I felt that the end was a bit unfinished, though it still demonstrated the themes of self-assurance, growth, and great friendship. It also had some humor that relieved some of the heavier moments.
